Decorative painting has been used in the design of living and public spaces since the earliest times. It can be a simple color wash, a cunning representation of stone, fabric, wood, leather or metal, or an intricate pattern. I have explored many such techniques, as well as large and small scale murals and trompe l’oeil (deceive the eye) work in a variety of settings, such as private homes, health and wellness centers, stores, a temple and schools. I love this medium, as it allows me transform plain surfaces into luxurious finishes, awkward spaces into soaring architectural masterpieces, using inexpensive materials of only water and paint.
